The Challenge
First International Courier Systems Inc. has moved time-critical shipments since 1984: next flight out routing, medical specimens such as IVF and cord blood, aircraft-on-ground parts, hand-carry couriers, and direct drives across North America, around the clock. The company's existing website was a WordPress build that did not reflect the scale of the operation or the urgency of the people landing on it, often at night, with a shipment that cannot wait.
The new site had to do several jobs at once: get a caller to a human in minutes, explain a wide catalogue of services without burying any of them, give compliance-driven buyers the ISO 9001:2015 and chain-of-custody detail they look for, and provide entry points for shipment tracking and the client portal. It also had to be fast and dependable from a global CDN, since the company delivers to more than 150 countries.
What We Built
We built the new site on Next.js and React with Tailwind CSS, served through AWS CloudFront. The home page leads with the 24/7 promise and a persistent phone number, a Talk to an Expert path with a live human response commitment, and direct links to shipment tracking and the client login.
The service catalogue is organized into six precision solutions, Next Flight Out, medical logistics, strategic warehousing, direct drives, hand carry, and asset recovery, each with its own specification page, alongside sector pages for pharmaceuticals and life sciences, industrial and manufacturing, aerospace AOG, and high tech. An active-shipment timeline on the home page shows the milestone visibility clients get from pickup to delivery.
Trust content sits where buyers look for it: ISO 9001:2015 certification, GxP-compliant handling, end-to-end tracking, and chain-of-custody documentation, with a full set of legal pages covering conditions of carriage, claims, privacy, cookies, and accessibility. Resources for training, partners, and frequently asked questions round out the site.
